Congratulations Malaysia, bagging two gold medals at the 26th South Asia Games – Indonesia 2011 through Nur Suryani Mohd Taibi - 50-metre rifle three-position - and Tan Song Hwa - hammer throwing on 12 Nov 2011 .
Nur Suryani Mohd Taibi bagged the the nation's first gold, posted a combined score of 679.8 points to finish ahead of Thailand's Sununta Majchacheep (676.3) and compatriot Nur Ayuni Farhana Abdul Halim (675.4). Nur Suryani started the day by posting 582 in the preliminary round to finish on pole and led from start to finish in the final with lines of 9.0, 9.1, 10.7, 9.6, 10.5, 9.4, 9.6, 10.0, 10.3 and 9.6.
At the Jakabaring Complex, Tan Song Hwa registered 55.15m for what was only Malaysia's second gold of the day. Indonesia's Rose Hermona was a distant second with 51.95 while Loralie Sermona of the Philippines took bronze with 49.69m.
