Prophet Nuh   عليه السيلام  is a highly important figure in Islam, and is seen as one of the most significant prophets of all. The name is Nuh bin Laamak bin Matausyelakh bin Khanaukh (Prophet Idris  عليه السيلام) bin Yarud bin Mahlayal bin Qainan bin Anau bin Syeets bin Adam  عليه السلام . Nuh's narratives largely consist about his preaching and the story of the Deluge. Prophet Nuh  عليه السيلام was born 126 years after Prophet Adam  عليه السلام passed away, and was among his people for 950 years :

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ فَلَبِثَ فِيهِمْ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ إِلا خَمْسِينَ عَامًا فَأَخَذَهُمُ الطُّوفَانُ وَهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ (١٤)

And indeed, We sent Nuh to his people, and stayed among them for a thousand years less fifty years [inviting them to believe in the Oneness of Allah (Monotheism), and discard the false gods and other deties]; so the Deluge overtook them while they were zalimun (wrong-doers, polytheists disbelievers). ( Al’ Ankabut 29 : 14)

Then We saved him and those with him in the ship, and made it (the ship) a lesson, (a warning) for the Alamin (mankind, jinn). ( Al’ Ankabut 29 : 15)

Historically It was mentioned that the land between the two rivers passed the following ages :

a.      Old Stone Age - Ancient remains  discovered by Mr Sawyli in 1954.

b.      New Stone Age with the excavation of :

·    The Grumu village west of Sulaimaniyah discovered by Mr Bred Wood, and scientist believed the center was built around 6500 BC.
·    Hassouna Civilization, ancient Mesopotamian town located south of modern Mosul in northern Iraq. Excavated in 1943–44 by the Iraqi Directorate of Antiquities.

c.       Copper Stone Age :

·         Slaves Mount.
·         Auruk Age (Warga).
·      Jamdat Nassur age, the remains of an Aeneolithic agricultural settlement of the end of the fourth millennium B.C., located 25 km northeast of Babylon, Iraq, near the old city of Kish.

Towards the end of this age, according to history books, the great flood (deluge) took place and inundated the land between the two rivers. The excavations that had been have been carried out in Ur, Uruk Kish and Shurback revealed that a great flood had taken place between the Slave Age and Jamad Nassur Age.

Iraq : The Deluge Area

The Qur'an narrates that Nuh received a revelation to build an Ark, after his people refused to believe in his message and hear the warning.

And it was revealed to Nuh : “None of your people will believe except those of your people have believed already. So be not sad because of what they used to do. (Hud 11:36)

“And construct the ship under Our Eyes and with Our Revealation, and call not upon Me on behalf of those who did wrong; they are surely to be drowned.” (Hud 11:37)

It was said, “O Earth, swallow up your water!” and, “ O Sky! withhold (your rain).” And the water was made to  subside and the Decree (of Allah) was fullfiled (i.e. the destruction of the people of Nuh). And it (the ship) rested on rested on al-Judi. And it was said, “Away with the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers)” (Surah Hud 11: 44)

Nuh's Ark was discovered in mid May of 1948 by a local Kurdish shepherd boy named Reshit Sarihan, who lives to this day (Sep. 2000), in the village of üzengili (previously called "Nasar" but changed to üzengili after the ark was discovered. One should take note that "Nisir" was the Babylonian name for Nuh's city). Heavy rains in May of 1948, combined with three noteworthy earthquakes exposed the ark impression from the collapsing, expansive and loose mud that had entrapped it for nearly 2 thousand years revealing the ark impression standing up, out of the terrain.

Mount Judi is a mountain facing Ibn ‘Umar Island at the junction of the Syrian and Turkish borders, on the eastern bank of Tigris River. Known in Turkey as "Cudi Dagh", Mount Judi represents the Qur'an's location for Nuh's Ark. This mountain could be easily be seen from the Syrian town of Ain Dewar. Cudi Dagh is located approximately 200 miles south of Mt. Ararat in southern Turkey almost within eyesight of the Syrian and Iraqi borders.

Location : Mt Ararat, Uzengili & Mt Judi

As revealed in the verse of the Noble Qur’an, after the Flood the Ark came to rest on al-Judi. The world “Judi” is sometimes regarded as the name of a particular mountain, although in Arabic the word means “a high place, peak.”  Therefore, the word “Judi” may be used in the Qur’an, not as the name of a particular mountain, but to describe how the boat came to rest in a high place. (Allah knows the truth.)

Mr. Oktar’s (Harun Yahya) interpretation of this verse in an interview on Samsun Aks TV on 28 April, 2010 goes:

“Judi is the name given to the mountain chain including Mount Ağrı and Mount Judi. Allah does not say it came to rest on Mount al-Judi, He says “on al-Judi”. It is therefore quite reasonable for the Ark to have landed on Mount Ağrı (Ararat) . It may also have come to rest somewhere on much lower parts of Mount Ağrı. The boat was in all probability carried upward. So it should be preserved. They covered it over with earth. It would seem they brought special soil up there. Because that region has no soil of its own, so it was covered over with soil brought specially up there. This is very significant. The statements in the Torah are identical to the Qur’an. There are identical accounts to that in the Qur’an in the Torah and the Bible. The Bible and the Torah and the Qur’an all resemble each other in many respects. And in others they differ. There is nothing surprising in that.”

“A group of 15 scientists from Turkey and Hong Kong have announced their discovery of a timber structure, 12 meters long and 5 meters tall, 4,000 meters high on Mount Ağrı, and even that they have entered into and investigated it. The group maintains, with the help of Carbon dating of pieces of timber taken from the boat, that it is 4800 years old, and that this squares with the date of Noah’s Flood described in the sacred texts. According to the South China Morning Post, a group of Hong Kong Evangelical Media, Noah’s Ark Ministry International and Turkish scientists announced a major discovery at a press conference in Hong Kong on Sunday. The group exhibited parts they maintain belong to Noah’s Ark, ropes used for keeping animals tethered together on the boat and several nail-like objects.” (Bugun Daily, Milliyet Daily). Mr. Oktar explains how the boat discovered by the scientists is actually Noah’s Ark by interpreting verses of the Qur’an.
